French Technology May Save Shopping Malls

This has caused a major problem for these retailers in the decline of sales.
To overcome this problem, Klepierre, the French shopping mall owner is busy prototyping a new technology that will offer shoppers something they cannot get by shopping from home.
It is called the Inspiration Corridor as was crafted in partnership with DigitasLBi, a digital advertising group. The idea is a booth for shoppers to step into. Once inside, they will be surrounded with visual representations of the items they may want to purchase. If the option is for clothing, the digital showroom will offer recommendations based on body type which will be done by means of scanning.
All the recommended items will be available on a touchscreen, with the option to scroll through the different options. It is a simple process for the shopper to add the chosen items to a shopping cart and pay for it when they are ready to checkout.
