The TJX Cos. family is about to get even bigger. The company has announced that the first of its new line of ‘HomeSense’ stores is slated to open next month in Framingham, MA. So what’s HomeSense? TJX has shared the details on the newest member of its roster in a release.

Homesense

“Homesense is a new home concept in the U.S. from The TJX Companies, Inc., the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide,” the release reads in part. “Complementing sister brand HomeGoods, Homesense offers unexpected finds for the home through an ever-changing selection of brand names and global discoveries, all at an amazing value.”

As Retail Dive shares, additional store openings are planned for East Hanover, NJ, Ocean Township, NJ, and Westwood, MA later this year. John Ricciuti, President of HomeGoods and Homesense in the U.S., notes that newest member of the lineup will hit the ground running.

“Just as our customers enjoy shopping both TJ Maxx and Marshalls, we are confident that loyal customers and new shoppers alike will be excited about shopping both Homesense and HomeGoods,” he said. “As the U.S. home market continues to grow, we are excited to bring consumers an expanded selection of quality merchandise at incredible prices, along with a new shopping experience in which they can discover and curate the home of their dreams.”

On the selection front, it sounds like Ricciuti is right on the money. Sections of the store will include a broad assortment of furniture, accent decor conceptually displayed to entice the senses and inspire discovery, and expansive displays of art mounted for gallery-style shopping.

Additionally, shoppers will have their choice of things such as entertaining options for holidays and other special occasions, as well as items from a “General Store” that will include all things in the essential categories of organization, cleaning and home improvement.

T.J. Maxx and Marshalls have gained a ton of traction with today’s consumers. Savvy shoppers know to hit these off-price brands for the latest fashions at a fraction of the cost, and it sounds like shoppers can expect the same at the new concept.

Sister brand HomeGoods has grown to nearly 600 stores, and it has become noted for its unique home decor at affordable prices. We can safely expect HomeSense to become notable in its right before too long.
