Construction contractor Dutco Balfour Beatty (a joint venture between the Emirati company Dutco and the major British construction concern Balfour Beatty) has received a contract for creating the Fashion Avenue, which will connect the world’s largest shopping and entertainment center Dubai Mall and the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa.
This project will allow to open 100 new boutiques in the shopping center and increase the number of its visitors up to 100 million per year. The contract costs 1.3 billion UAE dirhams (US$354.33 million).
The project will last 2 years and will employ two thousand builders.
