The central area nearby Plaza Mayor, Gran Via, and the Puerta de Sol is home to numerous large department stores such as El Corte Ingles, FNAC and worldwide clothes stores such as Zara, H&M, and Mango.

This major shopping area extends towards Plaza de España and Princesa street.
