A wide range of goods are available for rent, including kayaks, electric bicycles, and many others.
The French sporting goods retailer Decathlon announced the launch of a rental service for a variety of sports equipment. Currently, the service is only available in the United Kingdom. According to the company, the service was introduced as a way to help consumers in a difficult economic period when living expenses are rising rapidly.
A wide range of goods are available for rent from Decathlon, including paddle boards (SUP), kayaks, electric bicycles, and many others.
Customers are required to pay for the service based on 24 hours of use, while the second day of rent is less expensive, and each subsequent day of rent becomes even more affordable.
For example, when renting a kayak for the first 24 hours, you will need to pay 30 pounds, for the second day – 15 pounds, and for subsequent days – only 10 pounds. As a result, a weekly rental costs only £0.56 per hour.
Initially, sports equipment rentals will be available to residents of London, Southampton, Poole, and Glasgow. In the near future, the company is planning to expand its service offerings and geographic reach.
