Originally built in 1974, and reconstructed between 2005 and 2007, the Forum Steglitz shopping centre is situated in one of Berlin’s busiest multi-functional shopping and service areas. The refurbishment of the complete building was undertaken in phases, allowing the centre to continue to function during the construction process.
The mall is fully let and offers its visitors many attractive shops and a highly diverse assortment. The tenants range from consumer electronic shops to fashion stores, accessory shops, discount supermarket chains and various services such as travel agencies, pharmacies, florists, hairdressers and restaurant chains. The shopping centre also contains a successful indoor market as well as offices and a bowling alley. The best-known tenants include, among others, H&M, Lidl, Strauss Innovation, Rossmann, SpieleMax, Intersport, Pizzahut and the fitness studio Super Fit.
Public transport links to the Forum are excellent, with underground stations and a bus service adjacent to the centre frequently running. 670 parking spaces, of which 125 are underground, are also available.
The mall still has a very ‘70s feel in its layout and architecture. By using glass and light coloured materials, the ground floor interior allows a spacious aisle offering a pleasant overview of the shops.
