Built in 1963, Place Versailles is Montreal’s first indoor mall. Located in the Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough of Montreal, Quebec, Place Versailles is a super-regional mall of more than 100,000 m2 with 225 stores.
This one-storey structure is the largest shopping centre in Montreal. A second two-storey section was added in the 1980.
Place Versailles is an attractive place to shop, dine, and spend leisure time with its inlaid marble and light, pleasant environment. Five fountains in Place Versailles add to the ambience. Two of them are the work of Mexican sculptor Augusto Escobedo. Place Versailles is ideally located adjacent to the Radisson metro station. The mall has 4000 parking spaces and a bus stop at the door.
