Selgross Cash and Carry

SELGROS CASH AND CARRY is a large wholesale retailer offering over  41,000 products, with a combination of grocery and retail products. The company privately owned subsidiary of the German Company the REWE Group. Before 2008, the Selgros company was owned jointly by both the REWE Group and the Otto Group of North Carolina, USA.

Selgros was founded in 1959 and currently headquartered in Neu Isenburg, Germany.

The regions of current operation with the year of introduction and number of stores are:

• Germany: 1959/ 45 stores
• Poland: 1994/ 14 stores
• Romania: 2001/ 19 stores
• Russia: 2008/  7 stores

Totaling 85 stores with 14,000 employees and a revenue of over 2900 million euros in 2013. The REWE Group mans the governance structure of Selgros Cash and Carry with a CEO and a Board of Directors.
