Global fashion e-tailer Boohoo has unveiled its new ‘boohoo brands’ marketplace, a significant expansion of its online presence. This platform is designed to be a comprehensive destination for fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products, featuring a curated selection of 150 key brands.
Diverse brand selection and features
The marketplace will offer a range of products from well-known brands such as Ray-Ban, Marc Jacobs, and Michael Kors in accessories, as well as popular beauty brands like Revolution Beauty, L’Oréal Paris, and Garnier. This new venture aims to provide consumers with a one-stop shopping experience directly on boohoo.com.
James Blacklock, Chief Product Officer at Boohoo, commented, “This initiative reflects our commitment to providing our customers with diverse and high-quality options, all in one convenient place. By partnering with complementary brands, we’re enhancing the shopping experience and ensuring that boohoo.com remains a leading destination for UK consumers.”
Strategic integration and technological innovation
The launch of the marketplace follows Boohoo’s acquisition of Debenhams, a move intended to capture growth opportunities as online retail continues to accelerate. By utilizing the Mirakl Marketplace Platform, which also supported the launch of Debenhams’ marketplace, Boohoo aims to integrate new brands swiftly and efficiently.
The platform has already onboarded around 200 new suppliers, with more expected to join weekly. Blacklock added that the marketplace enables Boohoo to leverage its extensive network and technological capabilities to onboard new brands and maintain strong relationships with existing partners.
