Bloomberg names the ten wealthiest families in the world

The international agency Bloomberg has presented its annual ranking of the world’s 25 wealthiest families. The Walton family, which owns the largest U.S. retailer Walmart, topped the ranks. As of 2019, its wealth is estimated at $190.5 billion compared to $151.5 billion a year earlier. Analysts estimate that the Waltons’ fortune is growing at a rate of $70,000 a minute, or $100 million a year. 

Second on the Bloomberg list was the Mars family, which owns one of the largest food empires. Its wealth is estimated at $ 126.5 billion. The Koch family, which owns the industrial corporation Koch Industries, rounds out the top three. According to estimates by Bloomberg, the family’s capital is about $125 billion. 

The top 10 wealthiest families in the world also included the ruling Saudi Arabian Dynasty Al Saud ($100 billion), owning the Chanel perfume house Wertheimer family ($ 57.6 billion); the owners of the Hermes fashion house Dumas ($53, 1 billion); owners of the Anheuser-Busch InBev brewing company Van Damme, de Mevius and Spelberch, the Boehringer and von Baumbach families (Boehringer Ingelheim), Ambani (Reliance Industries) and Cargill and Macmillan (Cargill Inc).
