Apple is recruiting employees to open the first physical stores in India. The launch of flagships in the second-largest smartphone market will occur in the first quarter of 2023. Apple has posted job openings for 12 different positions in India on its official website. They include a technician, business expert, senior manager, store manager, and “genius.”
“The Apple Store is a retail environment like nowhere else, uniquely focused on delivering an amazing customer experience,” the news release noted. Analysts note that Apple is preparing to recruit hundreds of specialists to work across the country. Standard Apple Store usually serves at least 100 employees, while the flagship may employ up to 1000 people.

It was previously reported that the first 22,000-square-foot flagship Apple Store would open in March this year in Mumbai. Many employees have already taken their positions in the stores, the location of which has not been disclosed. Officially, Apple has not yet commented on this information.
In 2020, Apple launched its online store in India, which immediately attracted the attention of millions of fans of the brand across the country. However, the company did not announce the opening physical stores in the country. Experts point out that entry into India will be decisive for Apple in its efforts to diversify its production in China.
