The opening of the water park and shops of several retailers announced earlier in March, will also not take place.

Due to the threat of the COVID-19 virus, one of the largest shopping malls in the United States, located in New Jersey, will close before the end of March. From March 16, all shops, cafes, and entertainment areas of American Dream stop their work.
The opening of American Dream was planned to be completed in four stages. The first two were in October and December 2019. The Nickelodeon theme park and the ice rink were opened last autumn, and a large-scale snow park was opened in winter.
The third stage of American Dream opening was scheduled for March 19, 2020. New stores, including H&M, Old Navy, Primark, UNIQLO, and Zara, were to open their doors on that day. DreamWorks Water Park, a large water park, was also scheduled to begin.
But now the third stage of the opening is postponed for an indefinite period, and the already operating shopping and entertainment spaces are suspended. Also, all the events dedicated to the new stage of the opening were canceled, including those involving VIP guests, scheduled for March 18-22. And although no cases of virus infection have been registered in American Dream so far, the mall’s management decided to take preventive measures and prevent a mass gathering of people.
The new date for the opening of the next wave of stores, as well as the water park, will be announced later, as well as the start date for the entire mall. But until the end of March, we should not expect this. The development of the situation will show whether this deadline will be extended to early April as well.
