Target announced the launch of Good & Gather; it's most significant food and beverage brand to date.
The new flagship product line, which will include a wide variety of products, including children's, natural and organic, as well as seasonal categories, will be available in Target stores starting September 15. On the same day, online sales will also begin.
By the end of 2020, the brand will include more than 2,000 products, including dairy products, ready-made pasta, avocado toast sets, beetroot hummus, muesli bars, and carbonated water. All these products will be produced without artificial flavors, sweeteners, synthetic dyes, and high fructose corn syrup. The Good & Gather brand will replace the Archer Farms and Simply Balanced brands and reduce the number of products produced under the Market Pantry brand.
Recently, the Target network has been paying more attention to food products. Over the past seven years, the retailer has made significant progress in this direction. However, consumers still do not perceive Target shops as a place to buy food. It is to combat this situation that a new brand has been created. According to the press release, years of research and investment in development were aimed at ensuring that the line meets all the requirements of modern consumers. According to the company, the Good & Gather brand is a significant step forward.
At the same time, Target is intensifying competition with major retailers such as Amazon and Walmart, who are also creating their product brands.
