A former employee of the international coffee chain Kevin Trejo was arrested for spitting on police drinks.
A former employee of the international chain of coffee shops, Starbucks Kevin Trekhot, has been arrested. The 20-year-old barista has been prosecuted for endangering the health of police officers, according to the detention records.
The incident in question took place on May 25, 2020, in a coffee shop in Park Ridge, New Jersey. According to the investigation, Trejo was deliberately spitting on drinks ordered by police officers who were used to visiting Starbucks.
The information was confirmed as part of a company investigation. As a result of the investigation, Trejo was suspended and dismissed from Starbucks. The company called the actions of the young employee "reprehensible," writes CNN. Park Ridge police thanked the company for its cooperation. It is not clear what kind of punishment can be expected of the ex-barista of Starbucks.
