Rosenberg is due to obtain a huge outlet shopping center.
A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Paragon Outlet Partners and the city of Rosenberg for the erection of a 400000ft² shopping center close to the corner of Reading Road and Highway 69.
It is estimated that the project will generate around $75m in taxable property value, 1000 to 1500 permanent jobs, and taxable sales of $160m. Over the short-term, there will be a generation of around 400 construction jobs.
The residential growth in the area and its viability as a suitable market area for retail development made Rosenberg the perfect choice for the next outlet shopping development by Paragon Outlets. The Paragon Outlets Houston development will be Southwest Houston’s only outlet mall. This implies that it will draw regional custom, bringing funds from outside the area and increasing exposure of the region.
The development is scheduled for completion by 2016.
