The Floor of Discovery will include space dedicated to digitally native brands, experiential shopping, and food and beverage concepts.
“The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards” in New York City is set to open March 15 with a 77,000-square-foot floor dedicated solely to online retail brands. The floor includes shoemaker M. Gemi, men’s fitness apparel firm Rhone, sock maker Stance and the specialty men’s underwear merchant Mack Weldon. Other retail landlords have opened similar offerings, but Hudson Yards is making a greater commitment to this strategy with longer lease terms and a bigger space.
The Shops & Restaurants area at Hudson Yards includes 720,000 leasable square feet for fashion brands like Zara, H&M, Athleta, Banana Republic, Cartier, and Tory Burch; beauty companies like Kiehl’s, The Body Shop, and Sephora; and a 6,000-square-foot Watches of Switzerland showroom. The center will be anchored by a three-floor Neiman Marcus, the first Neiman Marcus department store in New York City.
The mall is just part of Hudson Yards, a massive 18-million square foot commercial and residential development in Manhattan.
