Five-story retail space in Moscow became the largest store of the company in Eastern Europe.
During the last few months, Nike was very busy and has presented a series of new amazing stores that change sport retail within digitally connected solutions and experiences. Starting with Nike Soho last year, Nike Miami store and the Nike & Jordan Basketball Experience project in Beijing a few months ago, these stores perform a seamless connection between Nike’s physical and digital platforms.
Nike’s latest move in this retail transformation journey starts in Moscow on Air Max Day, March 26. Positioned in the heart of the city on old Kuznetskiy Most street, multi-sport, the five-story, 23,455-square-foot (7149 sq. meters) store — operated by Nike Partner, A3 Retail Group. The store includes a Nike+ Running Trial Zone on the ground floor, Nike+ Football Trial Zone (basement level) and Personalization areas for product personalization.
The art nouveau building, constructed in 1903 by a renowned Russian architect, was remembered as the state house of fashion in the ‘40s. The Nike Design team has renovated the façade to show the original gilded branding, and the entrance will have a heritage plaque responding to its rich history.
