A modernized mall added new anchor tenants, and a brand-new food and beverage zone.
Following an extensive refurbishment, Gesundbrunnen-Center in Berlin welcomes its visitants with new design elements, a modern ambiance, and new tenants. The modernized shopping center attracts customers with new bright ambiance and a considerably improved quality of stay due to an optimized lighting concept in the mall with modern lights, unique and comfortable seating, and many fresh design elements made of warm materials. Furthermore, the old escalators will be replaced by contemporary models that use considerably less space.
Throughout the refurbishment, many tenants also took the opportunity to renew their shops with their latest shops designs. Thus, half of the stores boast a new look and feel. As a new anchor tenant, the favorite off-price retailer TK Maxx, already opened in August. Also, the first REWE Center in Berlin will start at Gesundbrunnen-Center in a few days. The large grocery store concept offers an assortment of around 35,000 products on 3,300m² and has double the area of a standard supermarket.
The food and beverage section of modernized Gesundbrunnen-Center also highlights new food retailers such as KFC and the burger concept Goldjunge. Also, fresh food and beverage space was placed on the center's basement floor with comfortable seating and services such as complimentary Wi-Fi, smartphone charging, and a kids' playground.
All modernizations took place during operating hours. Gesundbrunnen-Center was opened in 1997. It includes 110 stores in a sales area of 25,000 m² and is the premier shopping destination of Berlin's Gesundbrunnen district.
