ECE’s brand new shopping center in Italy opened to the public for the first time.On a leasable area of 47,000 m², more than 130 shops welcome shoppers with an attractive mix of worldwide and Italian concepts and a huge number of dining options. Following a construction time of 18 months, Adigeo opened earlier than planned. Adigeo is 100% occupied; all retail spaces were leased long before the opening. ECE invested nearly 170 million euros into the project. The company is operating two further centers in Italy: Megalò in Chieti and La Cartiera in Pompei.
Due to the high interest in shop space, ECE had added more space during the planning and construction period, which will complement the originally planned floor area of the center. The extension is already part of the center completed and will be opened when the interior fittings have been finished. The fashion retailer Primark will become a further anchor tenant and open its first shop in the area of Verona, which will cover 6,200 m².
At Adigeo customers may find a varied branch and tenant mix. Many retail concepts coming to Verona or the neighboring region for the first time, counting the Inditex labels Oysho and Zara Home, JD Sports, the sportswear retailer Snipes, and Just Play It by Nike. It's debut on the local market for various other international names such as Deichmann, Fielmann, Guess, Jack&Jones, New Balance, Lego, Superdry and Tommy Hilfiger. Italian brands like Harmont&Blaine and Valerio 1966, and the retail food chains Dispensa Emilia and Baccanale will start an outlet in Verona for the first time.
Adigeo will further place Inditex brands such as Bershka, Stradivarius, and Pull&Bear, as well as other renowned and famous concepts like AW Lab, Calvin Klein, C&A, Chicco, Douglas, Foot Locker, Game Stop, H&M, Mango, Nespresso, Mediaworld, and Sephora. Furthermore, the Italian names opening a store at Adigeo include Calzedonia, Carpisa, Gutteridge, Imperial, Piquadro, Rinascimento, Piazza Italia, Trussardi Jeans and Salmoiraghi & Vigano. Adigeo will also home a 4,500 m² Interspar supermarket which is fully integrated into the center.
The mall also features an extensive variety of dining options, with 21 restaurants and cafés in the center. The diversity of food retailers in the center includes Bauli Caffè Caffè Vergnano, Caffè Veneto, Cibiamo – La Bottega del Caffè, Rana, Illy-Caffè, La Piadineria, KFC, McDonald’s, Old Wild West, and Sushiko. The food court on the first floor houses ten food retailers and a common seating area for 360 guests.
The layout of the center relates an A for “Adigeo.” Glass facades provide a bright, friendly ambiance and connect the interior of the mall with the outside area of the center. The interior of Adigeo also follows a gorgeous and elegant design which regarding its colors and choice of material is inspired by Italian design. Premium content and warm colors will create a comfortable atmosphere for visitors. One highlight is the shop facades stretching across two floors which convey a particular spacial feel to the property and provides the stores and the brands with a selective way of presenting themselves.
To make the customers' stay as comfortable as possible, Adigeo offers further services. These include free Wi-Fi in the entire center, a childcare center, kids' playgrounds, a baby changing room, a Kid Car and buggy rental. The shopping center provides the “Car Finder” system to find a car using a QR code, a modern 3D Wayfinding System, and the Selfie Photo Box to upload photos taken in front of unique backgrounds to social networks. Also, 2,000 parking spaces directly at the center are available to visitors, parking spaces reserved for women and families.
Adigeo shopping center is located at one of the main roads leading into Verona's city center, which is about three kilometers away. It is also approximately 500 meters away from the key freeway exit for Verona.
