Miniso marks U.S. expansion with 200th store opening in Santa Monica

Miniso, the global lifestyle brand, has opened its 200th store in the United States at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. The new location spans over 3,700 square feet and is a key part of Miniso's ongoing efforts to expand its footprint in the U.S. market.

Rapid expansion across prime locations

In 2024 alone, Miniso has launched several stores in high-profile locations, such as Times Square and Tangram in New York, and the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. This rapid expansion underscores the brand's strategy to strengthen its presence in the world's largest consumer market, now reaching over 20 states.

Special opening celebrations and unique collaborations

The Santa Monica opening featured a limited-time storefront design showcasing Disney's Stitch in a unique beach theme, along with dedicated in-store zones highlighting Miniso’s popular collaborations with globally recognized intellectual properties (IPs) such as Sanrio's Kuromi and Hello Kitty, Minions, BT21, and Care Bears. Miniso's partnerships with popular global IPs have been a major factor in its success in the U.S. market.

The grand opening also included the debut of the exclusive Disney Stamp blind box series and special giveaways, such as limited-edition Santa Monica-themed shopping bags, adding to the excitement of the event.
