Mango flagship store in Milan opened its doors on Saturday, May 23.
Mango opened the largest store in Italy on the former site of Mondadori, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, one of the prestigious commercial locations in the country.A three-storey shop with area more than 3000 sq. m. is the biggest store in Europe, which collected all the lines of the brand including Mango, Mango Man, Mango Kids, Mango Sport & Intimates, and Violeta by Mango. The company said, this store became the eighth in Milan.

“The opening of the Milan flagship store marks a turning point in Mango’s expansion in Italy and in the brand’s presence in the country. It is, without doubt, the most important Mango store opening in Italy and reflects its commitment and investment in said market, which will continue to grow in the coming years. This store opening follows the opening of the 2000 square metres megastore in Orio al Serio in Bergamo, which has been a major success since it opened in November 2014,” - said Matteo Sgarbossa, Mango’s director of international retail.
Now Mango has 82 stores since it entered the Italian market in 2001 with the opening of its first store. The Italian market occupies the seventh position in the ranking of the markets with the greatest turnover of the network.
Mango, the clothing design and manufacturing company headquartered in Barcelona, opened its first store on Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia in 1984, and now has 2700 stores in 108 countries. The company closed the 2014 financial year with a consolidated group turnover for the Mango-MNG Holding of €2.017 billion, representing a 9 per cent increase on 2013, with an EBITDA of €223 million.
