German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has launched its first Middle Eastern concept store in Doha, Qatar. The store offers ready-to-wear attire and accessories, it's located in the Lagoon mall. The interior décor concept has been developed under direction of Karl Lagerfeld himself and will feature a monochromatic black and white colour scheme juxtaposed against modern furnishings and classic accents. The store will also reflect Karl Lagerfeld’s affinity for digital technology, with a giant screen and iPads integrated throughout the store to showcase the latest collections.
The store’s opening event revealed the designer’s collection in collaboration with cartoon artist Tiffany Cooper. Also shown at the shop was Lagerfeld’s false lashes and nails collection, in collaboration with Japanese cosmetics brand Shu Uemera. Guests were treated to Shu Uemera interactive stations and limited edition Shupette collection of eyelashes and nail sticker, inspired by Lagerfeld’s Choupette line.
“As we continue to develop our business on a global scale, the Middle East remains a central area of focus,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld.
The Doha store is operated by Chalhoub Retail Group, regional partner of the Karl Lagerfeld brand in the Middle East. Besides his brand, Lagerfeld is the head designer and creative director of fashion houses Chanel and Fendi.
