Chargemaster has opened the UK’s first multi-brand electric vehicle experience area at the Centre:MK.Visitors can study about and test drive the brand-new electric and hybrid models from BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Renault, Volkswagen and Kia with no sales pressure. Open seven days per week; the 4000 square feet place offers test drives from its fleet of 50 electric cars. Interested consumers can also rent one of the cars for seven days.
The EV Experience Centre is part of Milton Keynes Council’ s Go Ultra Low City project, funded by the government and helps the town’ s aim for electric vehicles to deliver up 23% of all new car sales in the geographical area within five years.
Chargemaster is the largest manufacturer in the UK of electric vehicle charging points. It has partnerships with most corporations to supply charge points alongside new vehicles. With some, the brands offer them free with the car. The company currently runs more than 6000 charging points across the country and is rolling out 25 rapid chargers every month.
