Tesla and Opel open stores at shopping centers in Germany.Tesla and Opel, two famous car brands, have signed long-term leases with ECE centers in Germany. Opel opened a salesroom and showroom at Milaneo shopping center in Stuttgart. This store will enable visitors to see the vehicle models currently available and arrange test drives. Moreover, two or three cars will be on show in the property. Also, customers will have the opportunity to customize their car online. These can then be arranged in the store or at home from the online shop. Some test-drive cars are available on the parking deck.
In August Tesla had opened its first store at Alstertal-Einkaufszentrum (AEZ) in Hamburg. On a shop space including 150m², the US car electric manufacturer shows its award-winning models S (sedan) and X (SUV). The store also has the interactive Tesla Design Studio. Moreover, visitors can arrange test drive appointments and EV charging posts provided by Tesla located in the parking of shopping center. Tesla has 18 showrooms in Germany and has delivered more than 200,000 vehicles worldwide.
“Together with Tesla and Opel, we would like to show that cars can be sold in another way than in a plain car dealer's store located outside the city. An effective connection of online and offline shopping using the latest technology is required to make this work,” told Alexander Otto, CEO of ECE.
