America’s Fastest Growing Restaurant Chains

Here are some of the fastest growing restaurant chains that could continue to increase their footprints.
Mall and shopping center owners continue to look towards the restaurant industry as a ways to combat vacant space, as well as a means to turnaround an underperforming property. Restaurants continue to lead the way in helping to get consumers out of their homes. That fact has not escaped the attention of property owners and landlords, and we continue to see restaurants become the centerpieces of entire shopping destinations. In some cases, we’ve even seen expansive spaces that used to occupied by a department store anchor carved up to accommodate several food concepts.

The trend is not going away. In fact, it should only increase with all of the new developments in the pipeline, as well as the extensive amount of properties that are in need of a facelift. By the time the transitions are fully complete, your local mall could look completely different. Here are some of the fastest growing restaurant chains in America that could continue to increase their footprints in malls and centers across the U.S.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings

The tagline of ‘Wings. Beer. Sports.’ has certainly struck a chord with US consumers, and the chain boasts more than 1,000 locations and revenues exceeding the $1 billion mark. Visitors have a wealth of options ranging from shareable plates to full entrees, and the restaurants have become a popular meeting spot in the neighborhoods it inhabits.

Dave & Buster’s

Dave and Busters
There are only 84 Dave & Buster’s locations in total, but the concept has been a huge hit in virtually every market it has entered. In addition to dining, Dave & Buster’s offers a full arcade concept and a wealth of interactive games, allowing it to check off the boxes of dining and experiences all in one location.

Wingstop

Wingstop

Another wing-focused restaurant that has seen some explosive growth. Wingstop is in the realm of fast casual and grab-and-go, and has already grown to 650 restaurants either open or under development. The chain aggressively courts franchisees, and there’s a pretty good chance the store count will continue to rise rapidly.

Marco’s Pizza

Marco’s Pizza

The Ohio-based pizza chain expects to hit the 1,000 store mark by the end of 2017. It ranks near the top of most lists of fastest growing restaurant chains in the US, and credits its proprietary recipe for its explosive growth. In addition to pizza, the restaurant also features wings and subs.

Jersey Mike’s Subs

Jersey Mike’s Subs

From humble beginnings on the Jersey Shore in 1956, the company has grown to more than 1,000 restaurants either open or in development. The made-to-order sandwiches featuring the freshest ingredients and outstanding customer service are hallmarks of this sub chain, which appears poised for even more nationwide growth.

These are just a few of the dining concepts that have seen some tremendous growth and appear poised for even more. From fast casual to quick serve, full service to grab and go, and all points in between, landlords and property owners have no shortage of concepts to choose from when looking to fill some space.
