ECE spent for the refurbishment of the shopping center in Koblenz, Germany, approximately 33 million euros.Redesigned Löhr-Center in Koblenz now is more modern and fancier, the center re-opened next to a renovation period of two years. The complete modernization amounts to more than 33 million euros. Opened in 1984 it was one of the first inner-city shopping centers in Germany. Löhr-Center developed and managed by ECE. The three-story mall got a new and fresh look including a new color and lighting idea, an optimized mall plan and four additional escalators. Along with the refurbishment came a restructuring which included the development of three sections “The Collection,” “The Lobby” and “The Boutique” with a fabulous quality of stay. Furthermore, a new entrance added to Löhr-Center. Including a sales area of 2,200 m² on the first floor, the Spanish fashion retailer Zara now is the new primary tenant of the shopping center.
“The new Löhr-Center with its modern mall design and many new offerings attracts visitors of all generations,” stated Dr. Knut Volquardsen, ECE Project Director Development. New renters at Löhr-Center besides ZARA, add Liebeskind Berlin, Only, Tom Tailor, Leo’s and Apollo Optik. Other occupants are a big REWE supermarket, a dm drugstore, P&C, Thalia, Douglas, Comma, Marc O’Polo, Jack & Jones and Vero Moda.
Löhr-Center is one of the biggest inner-city shopping malls in the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The Center crosses three floors and has a sales area of around 32.000 m² with approximately 130 Shops.
