The First Designer Outlet In Provence Opened



McArthurGlen to celebrate the opening of its outlet in the south of France.
McArthurGlen opened the Provence Designer Outlet, the first designer outlet in the South of France and the Group’s 23rd center in its expanding collection. The center will emphasize 125 stores containing eight cafes and restaurants within a gross lettable area (GLA) of 25,000m². The Outlet is located in the city of Miramas, in the Provence region of France. Customers can reach  Provence Outlet by car: it's about one hour drive from Marseille.



Provence Designer Outlet will further strengthen McArthurGlen’s European footprint and its appearance in France. The opening of the center will see some of the world’s most famous premium, luxury, and lifestyle labels come to this beautiful region, giving tourists and French shoppers year-round discounts up to 70% off.

Julia Calabrese, McArthurGlen’s CEO, stated: “Our aim is to invest in the local region and to create an exciting new tourist attraction. The Provence Designer Outlet has presented us with new opportunities to work collaboratively with our brand partners as well as the local authorities and communities to create a true retail destination.”

Provence

The center has been designed by French Architects Marseille Architecture Partners (MAP), and built by French construction group, Eiffage. It will feature Provençale original architecture and a vertical garden installation at the entrance by the renowned French botanist, Patrick Blanc. McArthurGlen has designed the center to integrate into its neighboring and to respect the highest criteria of sustainable development. Features of sustainable design introduce solar panels over an area of nearly 2,000m², irrigation canals and energy saving LED lighting.

McArthurGlen will open key worldwide luxury and premium names such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Coach, and Tommy Hilfiger,  leading French brands such as L'Oréal, Sandro, Maje, The Kooples and Zadig & Voltaire. Over one-third of brands starting will be French, including ten labels who are new to the McArthurGlen portfolio.
