Chinese retailer Miniso continues its rapid expansion in the North American market and announces the opening of its 100th store in the United States. The brand, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is opening the doors of its anniversary store in Orlando, Florida. The new store at Florida Mall (part of the Simon Property Group portfolio) has 2,080 square feet of space.
Fantasy pink Christmas village
The core of the company's assortment is fun and functional lifestyle products that utilize popular smart objects. The Orlando store features exclusive all-pink merchandise from the company's popular intellectual property collaborations, including those with Sanrio and Disney. In addition, Miniso announced that its latest Care Bear collection will make its U.S. debut at the Orlando store. Miniso has created a "fantasy pink Christmas village" in the mall atrium, including a Christmas tree house, crystal snowball and Care Bear mascot.10 new states in a year
For Miniso, the U.S. market is one of the most important outside of China. This year, the company invested millions of dollars to open its Times Square flagship in New York City, which features 2,500 products in 10 categories.Miniso entered the US market in 2017. And in the past twelve months, the retailer has opened stores in 10 new states, doubling its geographic footprint in the country. As of the fourth quarter of 2023, the company has 6,115 stores under management.
