October 28, 2009

The shopping experience in Central Luzon is about to change, some say, with Ayala Malls’ first venture called the Marquee Mall. Having had its opening last week, Ayala executives say it will redefine shopping, dining and entertainment in Pampanga and the region, and provide patrons an experience that goes beyond shopping.

The mall is conveniently situated near the city’s business district and adjacent to the Angeles exit of the North Luzon Expressway (Nlex), and is hailed for an integrated mixed-use by the community, recently developed by Ayala Land Inc. (Ali).

Ayala Malls invested more than P1 billion for the development of the mall which has generated 5,000 jobs. Spanning three floors with more than 450 stores and restaurants, it will be utilized by overseas Filipino workers, as well as foreign tourists who pass through the Clark airport are a market because of the mall’s proximity to the Clark Free Port.

It will also be home to an inter-modal transport terminal for buses, jeepneys, AUVs and tricycles, upgrading the area’s accessibility and turning it into a major regional convergence area, and will be complemented by the presence of Metro Supermarket and Department Store.

Ayala Malls is said to have been infused with the Pampanga homegrown lifestyle and culture, with its interiors marked with arts and crafts. There will also be an Activity Center, a lively event venue that will feature live performances, and a material recovery facility (MRF) and employs waste segregation to come up with a greener mall.
