DLF City Centre Mall a Crowd Pleaser

October 6, 2009

The DLF City Centre Mall in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh is aiming high: be everything to everyone. And it doesn’t do too badly, either.

Trying to market itself as the perfect destination or a shopper’s paradise, it is located in an upper middle-class residential area in North-West Delhi, and spread over five floors. Its most stunning feature is a
semi-circular, curved design that lends it a rather big, spacious look on the outside.

The mall also organises a flea market on weekdays that is quite popular with visitors. It offers a four-screen multiplex and many big brands for shoppers. From sportswear brands such as Nike, Reebok, leather brand Balujas and women’s apparel brand Meena Bazaar to cosmetic brand Body Shop, music store Planet M and men’s apparel brand Diwan Sahib; there is apparently, something for everyone.

To top it all off, it is considered a real gourmet’s delight, featuring two very good fine dining restaurants Moti Mahal Deluxe and Yellow Chilli (promoted by renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor). Tables have to be booked well in advance. There is also casual dining, coffee chains and fast food.
