The 1,170,000 square feet of retail space, managed by General Growth Properties of Chicago, Illinois, is the largest enclosed super-regional shopping mall in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area of southeastern Virginia, and one of the largest malls on the East Coast. Lynnhaven Mall is anchored by Dillard’s, J.C. Penney, and Macy’s. A renovation, announced in January 2014, will add 29,000 square feet to the mall, including a new ground-level food court and an open atrium.
